I’ve been addicted to Halo2 for the last month so I havn’t had time for any updates lately. I haven’t really done anything except play Halo2, anyways lol.<\/p>\n
This last weekend was pretty busy for me. I finally started working on the 418! I found out I need all new rod and crank bearings, along with new cam bearings. I also need to take the block to a machine shop to be cleaned. We got the pistons cleaned up and everything looks ok.<\/p>\n
I also pulled the old 5.0 out of the Stang. Kinda sad to see it go, but it’ll definitely be worth it when I get the 418 running! We didn’t have much trouble at all dropping the transmission and pulling the engine. It took us around 10 hours, not counting cleanup. I posted some pics of the engine progress here<\/a>. I’ll try to keep adding pics there as I work on the engine\/engine bay so check back often.<\/p>\n I also bought a new truck since the transmission crapped itself in my Exploder. It’s a brand new Sonic Blue 2004 Ranger XLT, supercab, stepside bed, 4×4, 4.0L SOHC V-6 5-speed. I hated to do it because it cut deep into the 418 fund, but I needed something to drive. But I love to drive this truck almost as much the Stang, so it was definitely worth it. Of course, I posted a ton of pics here<\/a>.
